For a melancholic look at some abandoned sites in Oklahoma you must pay a visit to Abandoned Oklahoma. This photo of the old Bird Creek School is from their collection. The guys over there have a comprehensive collection of photographs and videos that show some of the the forgotten places both rural and urban with information about each. I can't look at these images without wondering about the the people who inhabited them, their stories and why these places were forsaken.
